1. Purpose of Volunteering
Volunteers contribute their time and skills to support the mission of enVision Community Living and enVision Foundation. This role is voluntary and does not establish an employment relationship or entitlement to compensation or benefits.
Vision: enVision Community Living exists to inspire equality, inclusion, and the value of all people.
Mission: We are a non-profit, community-based organization committed to delivering supports and services that provide people who live with an intellectual disability opportunities for personal growth and development, and opportunities to live the life of their choosing in the community

2. Commitment to Respect, Dignity, and Inclusion
Volunteers agree to uphold enVision’s values by treating all individuals with respect, dignity, and equality, particularly individuals living with an intellectual disability. Volunteers must:
• Foster an environment of inclusion, empathy, and kindness in all interactions.
• Recognize and value the unique abilities and potential of every individual supported by enVision.
• Refrain from discriminatory, patronizing, or disrespectful behavior in any form.

3. Eligibility
Volunteers must:
• Be 18 years old or have parental/guardian consent if under 18.
• Complete all required orientation or training sessions as specified by enVision.
• Provide accurate and truthful information during the application and onboarding processes.

4. Confidentiality
Volunteers may have access to sensitive or confidential information about individuals supported by enVision or organizational operations. Volunteers agree to:
• Protect the confidentiality of all personal, financial, or health-related information.
• Use such information only as necessary to fulfill volunteer responsibilities.
• Avoid discussing or disclosing such information unless authorized by enVision.

5. Code of Conduct
Volunteers are expected to:
• Act respectfully, professionally, and collaboratively toward individuals supported by enVision, staff, and fellow volunteers.
• Follow all organizational policies and applicable laws, including those related to harassment and discrimination.
• Avoid any behaviour that could harm others or damage the reputation of enVision Community Living or enVision Foundation.

6. Health and Safety
Volunteers must prioritize safety for themselves and others by:
• Reporting any unsafe conditions, hazards, or injuries promptly to enVision staff.
• Following all health and safety guidelines provided during orientation or training.
• Informing enVision of any medical conditions, limitations, or accommodations required to safely perform their volunteer duties.

7. Background Checks
Depending on the volunteer role, enVision may require background checks, including criminal record with vulnerable sector check, and adult and child abuse registry check. EnVision reserves the right to accept or decline applicants based on the results of these checks.

8. Media Consent
Volunteers may be photographed or recorded during activities. By agreeing to these terms, you grant enVision permission to use your image or likeness for promotional and marketing purposes, unless you opt out in writing.

9. Liability Waiver
You agree to release enVision Community Living and enVision Foundation, their employees, and representatives from any liability for injuries, losses, or damages incurred while volunteering, except in cases of gross negligence or intentional misconduct.

10. Commitment to Positive Representation
Volunteers represent enVision in the community and agree to act in ways that reflect positively on the organization’s mission and values, including promoting inclusion and advocacy for individuals living with intellectual disabilities.

11. Termination of Volunteer Agreement
EnVision reserves the right to terminate a volunteer agreement if:
• The role is no longer needed, or organizational circumstances change.
• The volunteer breaches these terms and conditions.
• The volunteer’s conduct is deemed harmful, inappropriate, or inconsistent with enVision’s mission.

12. Agreement to Terms
By submitting this form, you acknowledge and agree that:
• You have read, understood, and accepted these terms and conditions.
• You commit to supporting enVision’s values of respect, equality, dignity, and inclusion.
• Submission of this form does not guarantee acceptance into the volunteer program.
