Paul is retired from the military after 37 years of service, and is a small business owner creating small to medium sized wood projects. His prior board experience is with the Block Parent organization, notably the provincial President of the board in Alberta.

Paul’s son is supported through enVision’s Supported Independent Living (SIL) Services and Paul is engaged in ensuring his son has the best possible life. He is a strong advocate for individuals living with disabilities.

Grant worked at enVision as a young adult and was involved in establishing Special Olympics in our region. Through his career in mental health services, he has been an advocate for people to get equal access to mental health supports; including people served by enVision.

He believes that people served by enVision can excel and have talents to show. He is excited to be part of the board and ensure continued growth opportunities for people served by enVision.

Laurie has over 20 years of teaching experience and currently works as a Learning Support Teacher at Niverville Middle School. She is a mom of three children—ages 12, 14, and 17. Her youngest son Hayden has both physical and intellectual disabilities.

Laurie is passionate about inclusion and is excited to join the board to help create meaningful opportunities and inclusive supports for adults living with intellectual disabilities, ensuring they can live with dignity, purpose, and belonging.

Mathieu is an Associate lawyer at Smith Neufeld Jodoin law offices in Steinbach. Mathieu and his wife are proud community members in Steinbach. Mathieu is a Deputy Commissioner for the Residential Tenancies Commission and serves on multiple boards including the Law Society of Manitoba, the Ste. Anne Curling Club, Sara Riel Foundation and Sara Riel Incorporated, on which he is the Chairperson.

Lorie began her teaching career in 1990 in Seine River School division. After completing further special education training she moved over to Hanover School Division, teaching special education in 1991.  She has worked as a special education / behaviour programming consultant with their student services branch from 1997 until present.

Lorie has been actively involved in a number of boards  and non profit organizations. Lorie takes special interest in the enVision board since her grandparents were part of the founding families in the 50s.

Lorie has worked at the Steinbach Credit Union for 32 years.  Much of this time has been in the role of Manager of the Member Services Department.

Lorie has a brother who lives with a disability and she advocates for him, and the inclusion of others who live with a disability.  She would love the opportunity to give back to the Community in serving on the Board at enVision.

Carrie is the Human Resources Director at Loewen Windows and has a real passion for non-profit organizations. She has experience with and education about non-profit organizations, and she volunteers with a local equine therapy organization.

Calvin lives in Steinbach, and is employed at Clearview Co-op as the Senior Finance Manager.  His interest in the board comes from personal life experience of having a child who lives with a disability, as well as contributing to a cause that helps people to contribute to community in meaningful ways. He brings a personal passion to see increased opportunities for those who may not have equal access.

Calvin brings a background in accounting with over 19 years of experience in the industry, and a degree in Management.
