Position Summary

Key Duties & Responsibilities
• Ensuring person-centered services for people supported so that they may reach their potential with equal opportunities to fully participate in the community around them;
• Providing effective leadership within a fast-paced, multi-tasked environment, while ensuring a high level of individual and team performance
• Assisting in the implementation and maintenance of policies, procedures and initiatives, with daily responsibility for staff scheduling and documentation
• Overseeing day-to-day service delivery with a commitment to the vision, mission and values of enVision
• Providing some evening work and some direct support work.

Qualifications & Experience
• A minimum of two years supervisory/management experience is preferred, with experience and education/training in the Disability sector considered an asset.
• Completed Foundations in Disability and Community Support or willing to obtain.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills with the ability to take initiative, problem-solve and work independently.
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Outlook).
• Valid Class 5F license and access to vehicle
• Manual dexterity required to use desktop/laptop computers or other devices
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

As the Recruiter, you will build and maintain lasting relationships with key business partners and employees, while meeting the mission and values of enVision Community Living. You will be highly flexible, with the ability to respond quickly in a dynamic and changing work environment, while ensuring legislative and legal requirements are met. This position includes, data entry, file maintenance, administrative duties and recordkeeping.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma/Degree in Human Resources, or working towards, with a minimum of two (2) years of experience in recruitment. A combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Working towards the CPHR designation is considered an asset; although not required.
  • Excellent interpersonal relation skills, in order to work effectively with various managers, candidate personalities, employees, etc.
  • Proficient in MS Office and various payroll/HRIS software programs.
  • Effective communications skills, verbal and written.

The Yard Care Team Lead, under the direction of the Project Manager, provides direct support to people in a variety of contract, casual, public, and private ground enhancement and maintenance opportunities in Steinbach. They demonstrate a commitment to the mission and values of enVision Community Living and abide by the Vulnerable Persons Act, demonstrate a commitment to high quality service delivery with person-centred outcomes that achieve the goals of persons supported, present and facilitate opportunities for people to learn new skills in a variety of areas, assisting them to achieve their personal goals, to contribute to and participate in the community and to develop relationships with others. The Yard Care Team Lead acts as a role model and maintain respect and dignity for people supported at all times, and are required to work independently, as well as part of a team.

Qualifications:

  • Experience, education or training in the Disability sector will be considered an asset
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate fluently in English, both verbal and written
  • Effective problem-solving skills
  • Team player, interpersonal skills and good character required
